There is a new book to hit the market entitled Girls on Top by career expert Nicole Williams. I have to say I was skeptical at first…it smelled like Rachel Greenwald’s book from a few years back, advising how to win a man like you’d win a job. Well, now in these tough economic times, it seems the reverse is actually the necessity!
Williams advises how finding a dream job is like courtship—first you have to play the field, then date, then date seriously which leads to long-term commitment. Then of course you have to keep the interest up on both sides as the romance fades and you’re in for the long haul. It makes sense, and I have to say I found myself enjoying her stories and analogies despite my skepticism.
